Chimney Repair: Caps, Pots, Liners

At J & A Stoves and Installations we understand chimneys!  We can repair or rebuild your chimney, replace chimney caps and pots, and fit cowls or bird guards.  With a wealth of practical experience, J & A Stoves can advise on all flue and chimney repairs and projects. In particular, for older houses where Class I and Class II chimney liners may need to be installed.  We can also advise on aspects of old stock brick or help you locate that missing antique chimney pot or custom chimney caps.

Because we understand chimneys we can diagnose the problem give you advice and even supply a solution.  We can also show you how certain fireplaces can be opened out to reveal a larger opening where a woodstove or fire basket can be installed.

Flue Systems

Some flue systems can completely replace conventional chimneys. Alternatively, when Installing some Gas Fires, fitted with power flues or balanced flue systems, there is no requirement for a conventional chimney or flue.

HETAS is the official body recognised by government to approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services. In association with the Solid Fuel Association (SFA), HETAS operates a registration scheme for heating engineers with special skills in the installation and maintenance of solid fuel heating systems.
