Some 40,000 Relax wood burning stoves are sold every year and, when it comes to
economical heating for workshops, greenhouses or industrial units, it clearly
has few equals. Clever design and construction delivers preheated primary air
for the combustion right to the heart of the fire bed, which makes it practical
to burn not only wood but also sawdust, shavings and dry waste equally well.
What’s more, an effective supply of secondary air ensure that even the largest
stove in the Relax range complies with the EU regulations regarding smoke
emissions and burn rates.
Every Relax stove is fitted with a safety guard and all models easily refuelled
through an access plate in the cast iron top. Burning hardwood off-cuts, the
three larger models will burn comfortably throughout the night without attention
and all units have a convenient hatch at the bottom to make light work of ash
removal. There are six stoves in the
Relax range, which when burning by-products that would otherwise be wasted or
expensively removed, can provide cost-effective heating to meet a variety of
needs. The Popular Stove is ideal for
burning one of the many smokeless fuels now available. With the ability to burn
all night, this basic, sturdy cast iron unit is perfect for small workshops,
kennels, tack rooms etc. To help judge
what size you might need, one kilowatt is equivalent to one bar of an electric
fire. A guide to the amount of heat
required for one workshop, depending on insulation, is about 8-9 kilowatts per
hundred cubic metres. Remember –
smaller stoves will need refuelling more often.
