There are many types of stoves
including freestanding stoves, inset stoves and double-sided
stoves for through fireplaces.
Stoves come with flat tops or canopies
and can be installed free-standing, in an inglenook or inset into a fireplace or
wall. Some you can run with doors open or closed.
Woodburning Stoves
These stoves will burn woods of different types that are dry and well seasoned.
Hardwoods are best; beech oak and ash are all very good. Fruitwoods are to be avoided as they contain too much sap.
Multi fuel Burning Stoves
These stoves burn most types of solid fuels supplied by your local merchants.
Traditional Stoves
There are also traditionally styled stoves that can be fuelled by gas or oil. Some
stoves can be fitted with boilers to run central heating and provide domestic hot water.
